2012 Kia Sedona Review

Kia is busy in overhauling and redesigning the Optima, Sorento, Sportage and Rio car models but up to this point they have left out the Sedona. Other than some minor styling tweaks, a slight power bump and a rear entertainment system that is optional the 2012 Kia Sedona is same as before and unchanged. It still has an excellent value with an unbelievable warranty. But the Sedona is starting to look a little fusty. The Kia Sedona is offered in two trim levels the LX and the EX in 2012, below are the specs for both and also the overview for both.

LX-Standard features include keyless entry, 16-inch wheels,  full power accessories, roof rails, fold down table, rear and front air conditioning, second row captain’s chairs that is removable, tilt steering wheels with audio controls, rear parking sensors, fold down rear seats in 60/40 split, cruise control, cloth interior, Bluetooth and USB auxiliary jack. It is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 the produces 271 horsepower and 248 pound feet of torque. Manual shift control with a six speed automatic is the only available transmission. Gas mileage is rated at 25 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg city. Standard safety features include antilock brakes with brake assist, front seat side airbags, full length side curtain airbags and stability control. It is good in side impact tests and offset.

EX- Upgrading to the EX model adds power tailgate, heated outside mirrors, 17 inch alloy wheels, wood interior trim, leather wrapped steering wheel, power rear quarter windows, power adjustable front seats and trip computer. The model also includes chrome exterior trim, rear view mirror auto dimming, rear view camera and sliding doors with dual power. Along with 16 inch alloy wheels, if a person chooses to purchase the power package upgrade, these features can also be added on the LX model. Some other options are also added in the package for the EX model. The Luxury package for the model adds leather interior, driver seat memory, heated front seats, automatic climate control, a sunroof and power adjustable pedals. The Premium Entertainment package for the model includes an in dash six disc cd changer, a 10 speaker Infinity sound system and rear seat DVD.
