Suzuki gives us glimpse of Splash concept

Suzuki has set up a mini-site offering us a glimpse of its upcoming Splash concept set to debut at the Paris Motor Show that we reported on last month. The sneak peek comes at a price, however, particularly for those who suffer from epileptic seizures. Too many jump cuts made this blogger throw up in his mouth a little and fall of the chair. We were going to laboriously screen capture each image for you, but we’re not sadists and found that our sadist friends over at Jalopnik had already done it, so head over there for a gallery of shots that just stay still and don’t move. As for us, we’ll wait until we arrive in Paris to pick you up some live shots of the Suzuki Splash from the show floor.

New Mazda SUV will appear in New York Motor Show

Mazda Company will present new seven-seated Crossover SUV CX-9 in New York Motor Show. This SUV is the second full-wheel drive car, which was created by Mazda for North America market. Earlier this year, this carmaker has presented five-seated SUV Mazda CX-7 in Detroit Motor Show.

Mazda Company distributed first official pictures this Tuesday of their newest car – a different convertible, which is constructed on the newest generation Mazda MX-5 (in some markets it is also called Mazda Miata) basis. The main difference separating the new version of this world famous Mazda roadster from the old one is a rigid folding roof. We should remind you, that all previous generations with their versions had only convertible soft-top and optional mountable (non-convertible) hard-top roof. Consequentially all of the folding action is automated with the help of special electrical motors.

The British Motor Show has moved back to London for 2006

British International Motor Show
British International Motor Show

The new-format British Motor Show will start tomorrow in London. Despite the huge space available at its previous home in Birmingham, the London venue is more likely to be seen as a serious international motorshow. The event will run from 20 - 30 July and no longer will it be held in Earl’s Court, instead finding itself in ExCeL Exhibition Centre in the Docklands London near Canary Wharf and London City Airport. A nightly post-show rock music festival called Dock Rock is also planned. According to the Top Gear website, Lightning Mcqueen (The star car from the Pixar film Cars which isn’t based off a real car) will be featured as a real car.

It appears that the car manufacturers are really taking this international show seriously, with plenty of world debuts as well as the first chance for the public to see many of the latest models going on sale later this year. There should be at least six world premieres, including an all-new Vauxhall/Opel Corsa, the Noble M15 supercar, the 3-door Honda Civic, Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe, BMW M6 Convertible and Lotus Europa S, so keep a close eye on this site for news about these novelties. As we will get more information about the event, new details will be unravel in the site. We will try to show new things that The British International Motor Show has to offer.
